Unfortunately I do not have good memories from the first time I went to Motiongate. I was five months pregnant and felt more useless than a newspaper stand in a theme park. However my second visit less than a year later, was much more exciting and much less about having the nearest washroom on my radar.
Apart from my gut and my bladder not betting on my sanity, it had been ages I was in a roller coaster and I might have been slightly overwhelmed this time.
Alright I might have cried with joy and I blame the post-partum hormones.
But when it comes to picking out the ”Top 3”, I take the task of imparting my knowledge very seriously and there is no room for any hormonal melodrama.
The Capitol bullet train
This one was recently inaugurated and was not there when I first visited. Based on the theme of Hunger games, it is I believe the longest (in duration) and the most thrilling ride in the park.
Waiting in line and watching people get off the ride, I knew what I was getting myself into. Believe me, it exceeded my expectations. It was a series of exhilarating rolls and from the very beginning it takes you by surprise but that is all the information I am gonna let go.
Madagascar’s Mad Pursuit
Never underestimate a ride based on the age of the kids coming out of it. I was scared to ride a skateboard when I was 10. *just saying*
The track is indoors and pitch dark so you really don’t know what your head might hit as the ride tosses you around like a bowl of salad and your intestines dance to “I like to move it move it”.
Zombieland Blast Off
Get ready to experience an inversely proportional relationship with your adrenaline glands as you experience a free fall from from a height of 58 meters and your adrenaline levels blast off to a new level you never knew existed.
Besides these three there is also Dragon Gliders, the green hornet and plenty of 3D motion simulators to knock you out of your remains 😉
